Most Insurance Accepted, No Insurance Necessary
As an Afdent patient, you’ll understand exactly how your plan works, the dental treatment your insurance covers, how much your insurance company is estimated to pay, and any remaining out-of-pocket expense you may have. We understand dental insurance policies can be difficult to understand, and we are here to answer your questions and help with any answers you seek. That's Patient Friendly Dentistry®.
If you don't have the benefit of dental insurance or you are left with out-of-pocket expense after your insurance pays, don't worry! Afdent offers multiple financing options, including in-house payment plans for all credit histories. Our Finance Team is here to help set-up payment arrangements that work for your budget!
We are a Preferred Provider for the following:
- Delta Dental Premiere Program
- Cigna PPO Program
- MetLife PPO Program
- Ameritas
- Guardian
- Anthem 300
- Principle
- Humana PPO
- United HealthCare
If you have Medicare or Medicaid we are happy to see you as a patient but Afdent is not in-network with Medicare or Medicaid. We do however accept many Medicare and Medicaid supplement policies offered through some of the above listed programs (including Anthem, Humana, and United HealtCare). We also have easy payment plans available to help limit out-of-pocket expense in providing treatment that works for your budget.
What does "Out of Network" mean? Can I still come to Afdent?
You are always welcome to be a patient at Afdent even if your insurance is "out of network." We still "accept" your insurance and will do our best to estimate what your insurance will pay and file your insurance for you. "Out of Network" insurance simply means that our office is not listed as one of your policy’s preferred providers.
While it is true that seeing a preferred or in-network provider does come with the perk of network discounts, there are also many advantages to still make Afdent your choice for dental care even if we are not in-network with your provider including:
- Choosing the right dental care team. Afdent has nearly 20 dentists. If you limit yourself to in-network options you are restricted to just those doctors in your plan's network.
- A truly Patient Friendly experience. There's a reason we are recognized each year with community awards like Readers' Choice and Best of Best as the top dental office. We care about each patient individually and give you as much time as you need to make the choices that are best for you. Visiting in-network providers may sometimes mean less time with your care team since lower reimbursement rates often times mean providers must compensate by seeing more patients in less time.
- Getting the treatment that is right for you. Sometimes when you limit yourself to an in-network provider there can be unnecessary influence over your treatment options. This happens when the in-network coverage provided only pays for the least expensive acceptable treatment and not necessarily the preferred option. At Afdent, we'll always present the preferred options for your care and help make those options budget-friendly with the many finance options we have available including in-house payment plans for all credit histories.
Afdent Dental strives to consider all factors when it comes to participation in dental insurance networks and the impact they have on the core mission of Afdent, “Patient Friendly Dentistry”. This means that we want to provide our patients the best possible care, not burdened with limitations, at an affordable price for all.
