Dental Assistant - Expanded

We see all kinds of patients at Afdent and we approach each one as the individual they are and not a number in a chart. Your superior clinical abilities combined with your excellent communication skills and ability to manage patients through difficult appointments help you instill complete confidence and trust in every patient you work with. You are part of a team of energetic and passionate people who work together, relentlessly helping each other out to provide a second-to-none experience for our patients. As an Expanded Assistant at Afdent, you understand the value of time but also quality. The balance between the two is an art form and each day you work with your team to give a world-class performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform usual and customary duties of an Expanded Dental Assistant.
  • Assist Doctor with placing and finishing down alloy and composite fillings using Matrix Bands/Wedges.
  • Assist Doctor with adjusting dentures, partials, and flippers.
  • Coordinate patient flow with front and back offices.
  • Answer patient questions and address patient concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Radiology License.
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, focused environment while providing excellent customer service.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate.

Job Details: Full Time – 4 days per week (32-36 hours per week). Hourly, Non-Exempt.

Dental Hygienist

The Hygiene Department at Afdent is all about education and helping patients maintaining great oral health. As an Afdent Hygienist, you have access to state of the art operatories and equipment. You are part of a team of energetic and passionate people who work together, relentlessly helping each other out to provide a second-to-none experience for our patients. In this role, you are here to do more than clean teeth. You are an ambassador of Afdent and good oral health, providing patients with the knowledge they need to address their concerns and support their decision to walk through our doors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform usual and customary duties of a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Maintain an aseptic work area.
  • Coordinate patient flow with front and back offices.
  • Educate patients on dental hygiene related issues and Afdent programs and promotions whenever possible.
  • Answer patient questions and address patient concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Current LDH Indiana License.
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, focused environment while providing excellent customer service.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Anesthetic permit.
